Nothing to really report today... My parents called - haven't really talked to them in a while. I always get the feeling that my father is kind of ticked off when we start to say goodbye. I can't explain it, but it just seems like he's profoundly disappointed, or he feels like I don't give a damn about them. I can't really tell which. Never been able to read him - probably never will.

My mom, however, is addicted to Amazing Race just like I am. She said, "I don't even know the names of those two young guys." I said, "I KNOW! They just kind of came out of nowhere!" We bonded. I think she's rooting for the clowns, though. That, I just can't endorse.

I also told them that their "little Catholic Church is not making me happy". Mom said she knew what I was talking about - Dad didn't say anything - I didn't pursue it any further. Maybe next month...
