It's too hot to sit here and type (it's really too hot to do anything), so I'm going to keep this short today.

I just got back from a meeting at State and found out that I'll be Student Teaching with the male Kindergarten teacher that I requested. Whew. Actually, I suppose I shouldn't celebrate yet since I've never met the guy and just went along on someone else's recommendation. Our supervisor from State is going to meet with us at Bryant tomorrow at 2:15pm to introduce us to our teachers and the school Principal. Then, I should be able to go back to Bryant Wednesday and Thursday, and then start "for real" next Tuesday (Monday is a holiday...). One of my worries is that this teacher is going to be SO kick butt that I will feel completely inferior no matter what I do. Something that I did wrong during my first Student Teaching experience back in 1993 was to try to imitate the Master teacher - this I vow not to do this time around.

A little more about Reichen & Chip winning Amazing Race: I'm glad that they won because they got to use their victory as a platform/soapbox for gay relationships. It THRILLED me to hear them talk about how they wanted to show the world that gay couples are just like heterosexual couples - the love and support shared between two men or two women who are deeply in love is the same as that shared between a man and a woman. Bravo, and right on.

Ok, ok - I've kept you in suspense long enough - YES, we did get the satellite dish back up and working (thanks to Tim and Eve) by the time that "Sex & the City" started. If we hadn't been able to re-align it, I wouldn't have been responsible for my actions. Seriously.

They're talking about Hitchcock on Larry King Live. Janet Leigh is there and she looks like a skeleton in a bad wig.
